Introduction

The Std Tools Menu is one of the 4 sub-menus added to the standard menu when a graph view is active:

File     Edit     View     Scripting     Input     Simulation     Output     Graph     Tools     Analysis     Windows     Help

The Std Tools menu provides various tools to work with a graph. This menu is visible and active only when a graph window is selected. Commands in this menu will act on the plot/layer that is currently active in the graph window. All of these commands are switches - that is, they switch on an operational mode which remains in effect until it is canceled by selecting another command or by using the Disable Tools command.

Tools

The following tools are available in this menu:

  • Std Tools Data reader.svg Data Rearder: gives easy and quick access to the values of the data points.
  • Std Tools Screen reader.svg Screen Reader: displays the coordinates of the cursor with respect to the axes.
  • Std Tools Select data range.svg Select Data Range: shows two vertical line cursors that are used for selecting a data range when performing analysis operations.
  • Std Tools Move data points.svg Move Data Points...: allows modification of the position of data points on the active plot layer by simple drag-and-drop.
  • Std Graph Drag range.svg Drag Range: switches the active plot layer into a dynamic drag mode.
  • Std Tools Zoom range.svg Zoom Range: switches the active plot layer into a dynamic zoom mode.
