Introduction

The Std File Menu is one of the 7 sub-menus in the standard menu:

File     Edit     View     Tools     Macro     Windows     Help

The File menu provides tools related to file input and output.

Tools

The following tools are available in this menu:

• New document: Creates a new empty document.

• New Table: Creates a new empty table.

• New Matrix: Creates a new empty matrix.

• New Graph: Creates a new empty graph.

• New 2D Plot: Creates a new plot from function.

• New 3D Plot: Creates a new 3D surface plot from function.

• Open...: Opens a document or imports files.

• Open Recent: Shows the recent file list.

• Close: Closes the active window.

• Close All: Closes all windows.

• Save: Saves the document.

• Save As...: Saves the document under a new file name.

• Save a Copy...: Saves a copy of the document under a new file name.

• Save All: Saves all opened documents.

• Revert: Reverts to the saved version of the document.

• Import...: Imports a file into the document.

• Export...: Exports object(s) from the document.

• Merge project...: Adds the objects from a FreeCAD file to the document.

• Document information...: Shows details of the document.

• Print...: Prints the document.

• Print preview...: Shows a print preview.

• Export PDF...: Exports the document as PDF.

• Exit: Quits the application.
