Description

The Std File Save command saves the active document.

Usage

  1. There are several ways to invoke the command:
    • Press the Std File Save.svg Std File Save button.
    • Select the File → Std File Save.svg Save Project option from the menu.
    • Use the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+S.
  2. For new documents: enter a filename in the dialog box and press the Save button.

Note

This command saves the current project. If the project hasn't been saved yet (an "untitled" project), a dialog will open, allowing you to save the project to a specific location. In a project file, all settings and all plots are stored in ASCII format. If the project includes large tables, it may be useful to save the project in a compressed file format.
